Diary Entry: 2 month Check Up

Date 4/7/08 - my uncle Bob's birthday!
Number of feedings - off the charts - I am in a growth spurt. My mommy is sleep deprived.
Height: 23 1/2 inches - and my dad thinks I am going to be short!
Weight: 12 lbs - note to self, stop eating so much milk. My mommy said I am a keeper, that she wouldn't throw me back into the water. Apparently she compares me to salmon.
Head Circumference: 40th percentile - hmmm....size does not matter (see below)
Development: I am doing many things at a 4 month old level. Dr. T said to my mommy that she has "an athlete on her hands"
Hiccup: I have a tinge of a lazy eye. I didn't get this from my mommy as she repeatedly told me in the car ride home. I will have to see a baby eye doctor to have this corrected.
Overall well-being: Good disposition, good sleeper and eater, slightly grumpy after three shots. Ouch!

Opps wrong I'll have to put my hand back down. Went to Web MD and it has to do with eyesight. Sorry bout that...Grandpa's side of the family have glasses blah blah blah...As for moi I have very good vision up til now.One of my eyes was still working on a tear duct when I was born one eye just looked droopy-er but fine now. I thought that was what lazy eye was. Keep us posted....Oh wait Patricia had lazy eye yep it just came to me.. she wore glasses at 6-7 years old..It's so funny to look back to the early 60's w/ her light blue horn rim glasses... Yep she had the lazy eye!

I hope everything works out with little Hudson's eye.

By the way, when you go to the eye doctor, it has been my experience that you have to wait FOR-EVER!! Both my boys have been and they have to wait to get called in, dilate the eyes, wait, check them, wait, do other things, and wait some more. Seriously, no less than four hours for the eye appointments. Just FYI.

I took Sydney to Grendahl eye associates and saw Robin - peds eye specialist - loved her, she did not rush and did a good exam. Syd had one eye that I thought was going towards the center - found out is a common thing for kids under 4 months until their vision and eye muscles strengthen. but I am glad I took her in anyhow to have it checked out and now all is good.
