I have returned from my whirlwind tour of the lower 48. It all began in Dallas, Texas. First was happy hour at Razoo's where I tried crawfish - yummy, but alot of work! You would think that two pounds of crawfish would fill you up but no...then it was on to Canton for First Trade Days. Love a good ol fashion flea market with tons of people watching! Next, Ro, Scout and I headed to Christoval, outside of San Angelo where I saw a dear friend from college, Dee Ann and her kids. One of their favorite movies is Nacho Libre so after watching the movie Dee Ann decided that we needed to see a hermitage in Christoval. We were too late to attend their service or to buy the fudge they make for income but had a good time touring the grounds. While in Christoval, I taught Scout to say "thank you". It was a game we played on the 5 hour drive down. I handed her a green bean, she took it, we smiled, and I said "thank you". After 5 hours of this game, Scout finally said it on her own. I was a proud aunt. Back in Dallas, Ro, Scott and I headed to the Pink and Justin Timberlake concert. Laugh at me know but believe me later, the concert rocked! One of the reasons I love Scott is he will brave a severed toenail so that I can see a concert. My stay in Dallas was too quick but I had to head on to Salt Lake City to see Eric Clapton in concert. There is no equal to this man. And his band member who played the slide guitar was amazing. One wouldn't think that 20,000 SLC-ers could rock out to Cocaine, but they did. The man is a legend and I am so lucky to have seen him in concert. The best part of my trip was spending time with my Granny. I love her so much and she remembered me! It made my year. Thank you to Ro, Scott, Scout, Dee Ann, Skee, Kadee, Louise, Phil, David, and Joseph for making my trip so memorable!
